Girls play three rugby 7s tournaments throughout the season. Each tournament lasts between 5 and 7 weeks with match days scheduled for Friday evenings. Teams play 2 or 3 games each match day.
Players are permitted to play up one age grade without dispensation. Dispensation can be granted to play up two age grades or down an age grade under certain circumstances. Contact the Director of Rugby for more information.
All registrations are completed online using the RugbyLink system. There is no option to register outside of RugbyLink. Payments are made by credit or debit card and a 1.88% surcharge applies.
Paying by Installments
Our club accepts installment payments. Families have the option to make three equal payments instead of one lump sum. The first payment is due at the time of registration with the remaining payments due one month and two months after the initial registration. Contact the Treasurer if wanting to pay by installment.
Half Season Payments
The club is not offering options to play and pay for a half season.
For players that pay full fees but do not complete a full season, the club offers a maximum fee refund of $90. The maximum $90 reduces by $10 per week for each week the player remains registered from Saturday 1st of April 2017 on wards. There is no refund available after Friday 2nd June 2017.
Surfers Paradise Rugby Club supports the Queensland Government Get Started voucher programme. Please make contact with the club Treasurer or Junior Committee to register with a voucher.
Concessions for Junior Siblings
Surfers Paradise Rugby Club recognises the financial contribution made by families who register multiple junior siblings and play with us. While full fees are required for the first registered junior player in any family, a $50 registration fee concession is available for each additional junior sibling registered.
Training & Playing Equipment
Include in the fees, players receive:
- Match jersey (to return at season end)
- Training jersey (to keep)
Players need to provide:
- Mouth guard
- Club shorts – can be purchased from the club for $25
- Club socks – can be purchased from the club for $10
Our club is used 6 nights a week during the season but team coaches determine when practices will be. Training nights and times will be posted to the club website when known.
The club has entered our U6 - U15 age groups in the Gold Coast competition and the U16 age group in the Brisbane competition.
A number of pre-season club days and games are organised by the club to promote our club and to promote a great rugby experience. The Club Calendar available on the club website has details about these club days. However,coaches of individual teams are ultimately responsible are match fit and prepared for the season ahead.
The first round of competition (GCDRU and BJRU) is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 22nd April. The last round of competition is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 2nd September.
The draw is still to be released but should be checked regularly for late changes.
Gold Coast Summer 7's begins Saturday 6th October and concludes Saturday 17th November.

After logging in, the process is fairly straight forward in terms of selecting an age group and making payment.
